A name or location entered into a search tool passes directly to the outside provider operating that feature. The provider processes the query and supplies its results. We do not retain those search terms in our own logs.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email may be kept as needed to prepare and send a response. It remains within the organization unless disclosure is required by a valid legal obligation.
Data We Gather Automatically

We do not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. The site describes how to request DeSoto County records from the Sheriff and Clerk, statewide history from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement Division of Criminal Justice Information Services, corrections information from FDC, and registry information from the Florida Sexual Offenders and Predators Registry. We are not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor information is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there falls under the selected partner's privacy policy and its own retention and disclosure rules, which we do not control. Read those terms before running a query.

Links may lead to DeSoto County offices, Florida agencies, courts, legal-aid resources, or commercial tools. Once a visitor leaves this website, the destination's privacy policy governs. Review it before sharing personal information.

Florida Public Records Law, principally Chapter 119, governs records held by public agencies rather than this privately operated site. At a minimum, you can:
